Seneca Co. Genealogical Society Mtg. Program First Settlers of Tiffin Area - Where, How, Why?

Tuesday, February 1, 2022 - 6:30pm

Address:
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library
Tiffin, OH 44883

The Seneca County Genealogical Society  presents Where did the early pioneers of the Tiffin area migrate from?  How did they get here?  Why did they come?  Becky Hill, retired Hayes Presidential Librarian and SCGS member, will look at Tiffin’s earliest settlers and trace their routes, reasons, and origins.  Concentrating on the time period before 1850, these pioneers mostly had to walk, ride or float their way west to northwest Ohio from various eastern states.  This is our fourth meeting highlighting Tiffin’s Bicentennial Celebration.

The meeting is free and open to the public.  There will be a recording of the presentation available on our website www.seneca-searchers.org available after the meeting for those who cannot attend. You can find listing of future meetings on the website as well.

This meeting takes place at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library in the Frost-Kalnow Room, 77 Jefferson St., Tiffin.
