The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library will host “Film Noir: A History” on Tuesday, August 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room.

Joy Bennett, Curator and Archivist at the Hancock Historical Museum will present on what film noir was, where it came from, what makes it noir, and some of its best cinematic examples. This program is free and open to all adults. No registration is required.

Ms. Bennett hosts a monthly Classic Movie Night at the Hancock Historical Museum, and graduated with her Masters in History from Bowling Green State University, where she wrote her thesis on the comparison of the film industries of the United States and Nazi Germany during World War II.

This program is dedicated to the memory of Jim Felton, a longtime patron who was a film noir and detective fiction aficionado, as well as a book collector.
