Seneca County History Connections

Learn about Seneca County's fascinating past.

In Seneca County, we have a rich history that we like to celebrate. Seneca County History Connections is putting together a number of auto and bicycle tours—along with featured videos on museums and historical locations—for your enjoyment.

THE PROJECT

The initial steps are being taken to begin a long-term project to develop a series of informational materials on the history of Seneca County. Funded by a portion of the Rover Pipeline award, the committee is overseeing the production of videos featuring museums, historic buildings, and other historically significant locations throughout Seneca County. As this information is collected, stay tuned for more features, such as historical auto and bicycle tours.

HISTORIC MARKERS

The Ohio Historical Marker program is administered by the Local History Services Department of the Ohio History Connection. Since 1957, the program has placed more than 1,750 markers that share our state's history. Partnering with community sponsors, we help tell the unique stories of the people, places, things, or events that helped shape individual communities as well as Ohio and the nation.
