Sights of Seneca County | The Official Chip

The Story Behind The Chip

The Sights of Seneca County Official Chip Contest was an idea and initiative brought to life through the partnerships of Destination Seneca County, Ballreich Snack Food Company, The Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission (TMAC), and the Fostoria Community Arts Council. It was determined that the official chip of Seneca County would be a bag designed by someone in the community and would be voted on by those who work, play, and live in the area. The first ever Sights Of Seneca County Official Chip Contest has finished, a winner chosen, and now you can get your hands on your very own bag! Chips can be purchased at JAM's Monthly Markets (during market weekends), the Fostoria Community Arts Council, and online.

The Sights of Seneca County Official Chip Contest is for the community, by the community. Thank you for voting and for your participation!

Meet The Winner: Linda Shetzer

After working as an educator for 30 years, Linda Shetzer stepped out of the classroom and into her home studio. Linda loved teaching at St. Wendelin in Fostoria for over twenty years and, in recent years, enjoyed teaching in Toledo. In 2022, she decided to pursue a new career as an artist. She works with various media: watercolor, acrylic, texture paste, and more. Linda is happy to be able to share her passion by creating and selling her original artwork, prints, and cards.

Linda holds a bachelor's degree from BGSU and a master's from the University of Toledo. She resides in Bowling Green, Ohio, with her husband. They enjoy traveling to natural parks, where he focuses on photography, while Linda captures nature's inspiration and releases it in her artwork. Painting brings her peace, joy, and harmony.

Linda's artwork is available at JAMs Monthly Markets, Washington Street Outfitters, For Keeps, Inspired Mindz, and The Eco-Fill Shop in Bowling Green. To learn more about her work, see her website www.lindashetzerart.com or follow her on social media @lindashetzerartist.

Your purchase supports the arts in our community!

The winner of the Official Chip Contest received $500, which was made possible by the Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission (TMAC) and the Fostoria Community Arts Council. Proceeds from every purchase of the Official Chip of Seneca County will be given back to TMAC and the FCAC to help encourage, support, and empower art of all kinds in the community. Thank you for your support!
